DONT UPDATE - Too buggy and impractical
!!! DONT UPDATE!!!
Especially If you have an XDJ Aero :
Again, if you have not updated yet from the previous older version DONT! This new version is very impractical and functions quite poorly. Although they fixed the issue with not being able to play WAV files stored on the local USB drive... It plays them again... Sending them to a deck via controlling the app...(Thank you for that) However... The app is still too unresponsive and VERY slow... It seems as though perhaps its trying to pull down too much metadata or something from the USB drive (and its kit even that big of a USB drive - only 32GB). Every time I open a playlist stored on the USB drive browsing it through the app it is very sluggish... It seems "jumpy" and "glitchy" like its trying to get a lot of info from the USB about the playlist EVERY time you access it... Its not like it only happens the first time you open that playlist it happens every time you open the same playlist. The search feature is not as intuitive or as useful and as quick as it was in the original version of the app... Once you search for something and find it and load it... You then have to go all the way back... Hitting back multiple times... And then to the main menu to then select where to go from there... As opposed to being able to just get out of search mode and continue off where you previously were- like it used to. I refuse to even use this app as I cant perform events with it- not the way it is now. I am so relieved that I managed to save the old version so that I could revert back to it. If the app was made "lighter" and more stream-line to use with the Aero- which was originally what this app was invented and designed for... It would be better. But as is... Its been a move in a completely wrong direction. Please fix this Pioneer DJ- this is a reflection of attention and support for your products. Heck I even volunteer to be a BETA tester! Lets just get a working fully functioning practical updated version.
Once it works better Ill consider changing my comments.
