rekordbox is a music management App for Pioneer DJ products.
You can transfer music files from your Mac/Windows to this App to prepare for your DJ performance such as creating playlists, setting cue points, and so on.
Changes and settings that have been made on your iPhone can be written back to rekordbox on your Mac/Windows for further editing and playback.
You can also play music files in the iPhone version of rekordbox with Pioneer DJ products that support this App.
(currently CDJ-TOUR1, CDJ-2000NXS2, CDJ-2000NXS, CDJ-900NXS, XDJ-1000MK2, XDJ-1000, XDJ-700, XDJ-RX2, XDJ-RX and XDJ-AERO are supported.)
Main features :

(USB and Wi-Fi connection can be used with CDJ-TOUR1, CDJ-2000NXS2, CDJ-2000NXS, CDJ-900NXS, XDJ-1000MK2, XDJ-1000, XDJ-700 and XDJ-RX. USB connection can be used with XDJ-RX2. Wi-Fi connection can be used with XDJ-AERO. A Wi-Fi router is required to connect this app to CDJ-TOUR1, CDJ-2000NXS2, CDJ-2000NXS, CDJ-900NXS, XDJ-1000MK2, XDJ-1000, XDJ-700 and XDJ-RX via Wi-Fi.)
We recommend you install the Mac/Windows version of rekordbox (Ver.4.0.6 or later) on your computer to use this App more effectively.

Would be perfect with the simple addition of being able to preview the tracks while creating your playlists.
Other than that, awesome tool!
Please update the current version that supports with Pioneer XDJ R1.
Its nice that you can export your tracks to your iPhone or iPad and then go in and adjust your beat grids and set cue points. Then with the CDJ-2000NSX2, XDJ-1000, or an XDJ-RX you can use your iOS devices just like you would a thumb drive. Those are currently the only Pioneer supported products you are likely to see at most clubs or events.
There is one thing this app is missing which if added I would update my review to 5 stars. The ability to transfer music to it from another IOS app like Dropbox or Google Drive. In those apps and many other Downloads apps they have the option to take a file and "Open In" another app. rekordbox is not an option.
If my laptop dies on me the day of an event I could still download tracks on my iPhone and then transfer them over to the rekordbox app and have all the great functionality of a rekordbox prepared track. Ive already had multiple occasions where this functionality would have saved me 90 minutes from driving to a friends house and borrowing their laptop.
Ive used it before, really cool, takes place of a usb, right now Im having the problem with connecting my app to the computer tho. Its asking my if I want to connect to my phone phone which I say yes then nothing happens... please fix
This is just an Awesome apps for all the DJs. Same idea but its on ur iPhone or iPad. Pioneer Is always the best product for DJs. I like this app pretty much.
Great app, guys! Please add Dropbox support. I got a lot of track outside of mine iTunes collection. And I dont have an opportunity to sync it with my laptop, when Im on gig. So Dropbox support will be perfect. Thank you in advance!
Some bad moments
Not very practical for preparing sets, the app does not support aiff and wav format!
Please can anyone assist. I cannot connect the rekordbox app to my xdj aero. I can connect my iPhone via wifi but the app tells me there is no connection available
On an iOS device, you cant access AIFF or WAV files. So I cant prep tracks on this phone since most of my library consists of AIFF format files. I think they do this bc the audio processing for these types of files from a phone to a CDJ is not great. That isnt my use case - I just want to prep tracks, not play them from the phone. Oh well....
It is amazing how the Largest DJ Equipment Manufacturing Company can put so little into an App that could propel the companies technology into the next level. Advanced searching capabilities could be designed into an app for iPad and iPhone which would make DJing so much easier for travel DJs. In addition Karaoke features for and up close and personal screen for the DJ as appears to running from a Laptop. Come On Pioneer DJ show some love!
This is a very good app, but should be updated for the new iphones and should have an ipad version
I read on the pioneer dj website forum that we will not be able to stream WAV files over wifi. If this is true it looks like pioneer has decided to lower their standards when it comes to sound quality. : (
